The Organizing School is a compendium of applied knowledge and skills from organizers who’ve been doing this work both professionally and as side-hustle from multiple “schools” including labor, community, and political organizing: worlds that overlap, but have distinct goal-oriented inputs that inform our work & help us and those we work with build power. Participants have an opportunity to engage in organizing theory & principles, a multitude of case studies, best-practice wisdom, and application of skills to their own work. This is truly a grade-A professional development for the budding and seasoned organizers in our community.
BlonoDSA conducted our inaugural Organizing School this past Fall, and we liked it so much we’re planning more. Folks can “pre-register” here.
There is a material cost associated with the seminars. Facilitators are not paid, but attendees receive a workbook, and the cost is on the same scale for membership in the DSA. We’ve linked here a couple slides from our training to whet your appetite.
